GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a pedestrian was killed as a car hit two homes in Grand Rapids Monday evening.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Kalamazoo Avenue, just south of Hall Street.
The Grand Rapids Police Department says the car was driving at a high speed when it hit the victim and the houses.
The victim, a 47-year-old woman of Grand Rapids, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was treated at a hospital for minor injuries then was arrested on charges related to the crash.
Authorities have not released the suspect’s name.
The crash is under investigation.
