GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are investigating a deadly shooting early Wednesday morning.
It happened at 2:20 a.m. in the 600 block of Houseman Avenue NE between Eastern and Diamond avenues.
Grand Rapids police said a 51-year-old man entered a home to confront a woman inside. The two started arguing when another man, who lives at the house, confronted the intruder.
During the confrontation, the 38-year-old resident got a gun and shot the intruder in the chest.
The victim died at the scene, according to GRPD.
The shooter and woman stayed on scene and talked to investigators.
Police said no charges have been issued at this time.
The incident remains under investigation.
