GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is visiting metro Grand Rapids this weekend.
The 27-foot hot dog-shaped vehicle made its first stop at the Family Fare near Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming on Saturday morning.
“We want to bring a smile to as many people as possible,” hotdogger Alex Hale told News 8 Saturday. “We’re all about spreading miles and miles of smiles. Even on cruddy days like this, if you’re out at the store, hopefully it brings a smile to your face and makes the trip a little more exciting than it would’ve been otherwise.”
It was supposed to be at the Family Fare on Burlingame Avenue in Wyoming Saturday afternoon, but weather is preventing that from happening. A rescheduled date has not yet been set.
Visitors to the Wienermobile will get a look inside and a Wiener Whistle.
The Wienermobile is hiring hotdoggers to drive around the country on a one-year commitment. More information can be found online.
