Police: Pedestrian hit, killed by car in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Kalamazoo Monday.

It happened around 9:45 p.m. on Ada Street near N. Westnedge Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a 46-year-old woman in the roadway. She was taken to the hospital where was pronounced dead, according to a Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety news release.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a black SUV.
