LEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man in Allegan County Friday.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called around 10 p.m. Friday to an address in Lee Township, north of Grand Junction, for a report of a stabbing.
The victim, a man in 50s, told authorities he had been stabbed by the suspect after confronting him about being in his vehicle. The two were acquaintances, according to an ACSO news release.
The sheriff’s office said the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The suspect, 61-year-old Paris Sylvester Covington Jr. was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, the release said.
