GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating after a 19-year-old was shot in southwest Grand Rapids overnight.
The first incident happened around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday on Crofton Street SW near the intersection of Century Avenue SW.
Grand Rapids police told News 8 that when officers arrived on the scene, they found a 19-year-old with gunshot wounds. The teenager was taken to the hospital where they are listed in critical condition.
A News 8 crew also saw officers checking out two cars in the area.
Then a short distance away at the intersection of Century Avenue SW and Vries Street SW officers were looking at a third car.
Police officials confirmed the two crime scenes are connected. No suspect information was released Thursday morning.
