GRPD: Teen injured in northwest side shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD)— Grand Rapids police responded to a shooting early Sunday morning.

Police told News 8 they received a report of shots fired and a call saying someone was shot just before 12:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy near the 700 block of 11th Street NW and Davis Avenue NW with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and chest. Police say the victim was taken to the hospital for surgery and was in stable condition.
