Detroit — The ramp from westbound Interstate 94 to southbound I-75 in Detroit will remains closed through Tuesday morning rush hour as authorities try to remove a semi hauler that overturned Monday afternoon, police said.

A semi hauling 38 cows lost control and flipped on the westbound I-94 ramp to southbound Interstate 75 at about 3:10 p.m., state police reported on Twitter.

Some of the cows will need to euthanized, police said.

The westbound I-94 ramp has been closed ever since. Police say crews are still trying to remove the trailer from the ramp. That effort will last at least through morning rush hour, police said.
